rainy, sad sunday...

a long overdue update...

it is a rainy sunday in downtown bristol.  so glad spring is here, however!  the sunshine and spring rains warm my heart.  and i get to enjoy the days with two wonderful companions, Matt and Moses.  in the wake of spring, and my two boys by my side, i look forward to the future everyday.  travel, a move to the country, sunshine, and happiness.

i've been inspired to update by reading "longest acres", which was recommended by a friend.  this couple is living my dream!  its a great read!

however, hence the title of this blog, comes a sad day for matt and his family.  his grandfather passed on thursday night and we will be attendance at his funeral this evening.  the weather is suitable for the mood, however, hopeful, because tomorrow is supposed to be a sunny spring day.

i have spent my morning catching up on reading, drinking coffee, listening to rain fall on the roof outside of my loft window, and snuggling my sleeping boys.  i couldn't be happier.

the pictures in the post are my daily smiles...

1. my not-so-great-view window sill, that i decorate with succulents, a solar powered dancing flower (thanks mom!), a pot of basil, and a bouquet of daffodils picked by matt's mom and myself.
2. the sweetest, cutest, funniest dog i know, moses aka mo, mo-man, mooki, moses malone, mocus pocus, the big mobowski, etc...
3. a favorite recent picture of matt and i on our camping trip a couple of weeks ago.  he is my heart.

color of the day: grey
quote of the day: "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal."
